BEEF POMEGRANITE GOURMET

1 pound ground beef                                                                                          

1 large grounded yellow onion                                                                   

2 cups pomegranate juice                                                                       

1 teaspoon lime or lemon juice                                                               

1 tbs. Sugar (optional)                                                                       

cup chopped walnut                                                                              

cup boiling water                                                                       

2 tablespoon olive oil                                                                               

1 teaspoon salt                                                                   

a dash of pepper and saffron

  Instructions:

1.      In a frying pan, combine the beef, onion, olive oil salt, and pepper. Fry under medium heat until beef is nice and brown.

2.      Add boiling water, walnut and the pomegranate juice. Cook for 30 min until the meat is tender and the sauce is reduced to cup.

3.      Then add the lemon juice, sugar, saffron to the prepared beef mixture, and bring to a boil under low heat for 15 min.

4.      Transfer the meat mixture to large bowl. Serve the Gourmet with rice. makes 4-5 servings.
